of Iron" on videotape not long ago and was surprised at the accuracy of the small arms.
The Soviet soldiers had Nagants, Tokarevs,
PPSH's etc. and the German's a variety of
Mausers, P-38's, Lugers, Schmeissers, etc.
Everything was right on. The movie was filmed
in the former Yugoslavia so I imagine there
was an abundance of Russian/German small arms
available locally. Even so, the book's better
than the movie.
