Why aren't we as noisy as black people?

Many gun owners I know AGREE with gun laws! One guy I work with said "I like to shoot guns as much as you but the second ammendment was written a long time ago, it was for "back then", things are different now"!!!!! Also a Bush supporter. I wonder who Bushs' votes will be in line with, the anti-gun bush supporters or the pro-second ammend bush supporters. Frankly, I'm not going to jump on the "bush is going to save us" bandwagon as I seriously have my doubts.

DC, "Jap" was once the absolutely correct and accepted informal term for a Japanese person, just as "Nigger" appeared as an unquestioned title in mainstream national publications. However, such usage is unacceptable today. Whatever you think about "political correctness," saying "Negro" in the present day makes you look racist and ignorant. That image is something that gun owners sure as hell do not need, and it makes me ill to see it reinforced on TFL.

Rich,

I think that also another thing exists in the mind of most gun-owners. That is whether they would ever fire upon another American Citizen.
Notice I didn't say XXX-American citizen. I said American Citizen. For there is the real divider in our Citizenry. The separation of the cultures in to distinct, yet separate groups. It should be fairly easy to realize that once you successfully divide the masses, you've in essence, pitted them against another. We're still being segregated here. But in a different manner.
That thought in mind, you now have achieved the real goal, and that is division, rather than unity. So, the adage, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall", has meaning we 21st centurians can grasp. We don't have to try to interpret the words, like reading the King James version of the Bible.

Why aren't we(whoever that is) as noisy as the Black's?
Perhaps we're not right now. But I do know that a rifle makes plenty of noise, and I fear that we may one day be making that noise to be heard. In an effort to change the direction this Nation is currently heading.

IMHO

God, Guns and Guts made this country a great country!

As soon as a person becomes pro RKBA they seem to cease to have a race to the general population. Either your a gun nut or you arn't. Here's a example: We all know JJ Johnson, well guess what, JJ has actually been listed as a racial hate group. Here's the link: http://personalwebs.myriad.net/steveb/mil.html is that rediculous or what ? ( it's at the bottom of the page ) I have never seen JJ say anything racial at all other then he doesn't like the so called leaders the media trys to say represent the black people so where do they get this ? Do they even know he's black ? Oh I get it, he's a gun nut / pro freedom so he has to be a racist. This is the mentality the media has produced.

I think there are actually a few reasons we arn't as loud. For one, on the internet it seems like there are a lot of us, but in reality I know only about 10 people in my town who really understand enough to be trying to do something, one of them is running for county commissioner, another problem is that most people absolutely live in lala land. You know the ones, they are still living the american dream while their kids are being taught sexual liberation and state dependency in our indoctrination camps, ask them about it and they will loudly voice their approval, they think all of these antifreedom laws are "for the good of the community" and our tax system is just, they are hopeless, they will not protest, they trust their .gov. Then all that is left is soccer moms and anti's, lets not forget uncle sam works at making it a pain in the ass for us to begin with. We are the new bad guys.

This is not a popular battle like pro race rights, or any of that other stuff. The MMM had the voice of television and only rounded up < 100,000 true believers, we do not have that and actually we have the negative label of gun-nut and radical etc demonizing us in the media, that alone is enough to cause some gun owners to stay home, propaganda is very effective, look at the "american dream" people and what it has done to them. Aside from that how many gun owners even realize their rights are going ? How many times have you heard " not in this country ?"

Colombe:
I've seen that crap posted over there too. Robby doesn't edit it because of his belief in free speech but he doesn't support that crap either, I think those guys that post it are just trouble makers, If it were me I'd delete it, Free speech is a right granted but a reputation is easily tarnished. However I understand that crusading for freedom and then surpressing free speech is kind of hypocritical so I see his point.

Mort........ The anthropological definition of persons of black skin and other physical charactreristics is negro.

You may have been brainwashed into thinking it is politically incorrect, but that is an ignorant position.

Negro is not a bad word. It is the denigration (which word also caused an uproar) of correct language that is intolerable.

But this strays from the topic. I still wish the NRA had the balls that the NAACP and CORE had to disrupt the enemies of the RIGHT to keep and bear arms.

Being able to own firearms is obviously a sensible thing to the average black.
You almost never see large groups of black men at anti-gun rallies.
BUT... a far more important issue to them to be involved in is race and the fairness of it.
So if those that have traditionally taken the lead among blacks lead them in fights for
'equal rights' whatever that means today
they will follow and support them because that rests on their minds as a dominat issue.
NOw ask yourself this where would Jessee Jackson be today if he was rallying that poor blacks are mostly being affected by gunlaws and to a degree even disarmed by them maybe even stressing the inabillity of the police while he was at it.
Would the liberal media give him center stage every time he spoke?
Would the Dem's back his movements and make sure the anti-gun groups and so called civil rights groups do so?
NO.Would Clinton praise the NAACP if they were working for gunrights.
What kindve america would it be for the wealthy socialists if that organization pushed for gunrights.
And again where would Jessee Jackson be if that were his crusade.
Hed be a no name small town right wing extremist Uncle Tom who had betrayed his race for the cause of the treachorous Rich
GUN INDUSTRY.
He would not be the media's hero and Icon for every misfortune to blacks that can be played on every national network as a further cause to keep black separate from white's and keep them from supporting issue's like gunrights or recognizing any other form's of oppression that do not come from the terrible white man but our often common enemy big brother.
Will this 'cause' dimminish any as civil rights are 'eqauled or recognized' or have they?
NO not likely.
Think about blacks for the most part are still a numeric manority. They simply have to say 'their are less blacks on the police'
etc. etc.
One of the most amusing things in that reasoning is that it has several times resulted in the lowering of standards or test scores before the hiring of more 'minorities.
As if such ones are some sort of lower less intelligent lifeform.
Showing who the real racists are.
Ok Ill stop rambling.
