Just stumbled in. A wealth of firearms information and experience resides here. This place helps keep the gears in my brain lubed and has rekindled my optimism for our future. I'm hooked.

TFL has a higher concentration of folks who are just plumb smart than anywhere else on the Internet. Tell me I'm wrong.
 
I was on Gunweb for a while, but then someone asked about other forums and someone else responded with a link to here, and I been here since. The format is excellent, the folks are polite and very knowledgeable, and the beer is good.
 
Well, Im just waiting for my next shipment of bullets to come from Midway so I can get back to reloading. Honestly, I used to hang out in Shooters, got bored and happened to notice Oatka left a link to this place, then lo an behold my bookmarks got changed, hmmmmmm ok whos the hacker?
 
oh an i forgot to add, ole Slick Willy promised me that if i kept a record of who says what, when the SHTF I will be able to keep my guns,now would he lie? ;)
 
Mr. Hal, I like the question, and I want to add also that why should I put much time on this forum.

1. I like the people hereon irrespective of their principles and philosophy in life.
2. As if I am talking with them face to face with sincere emotion because if I am wrong they will correct me, if I feel they are not too I can rebuttal.
3. Some are like enemies, friends, brothers, fathers in one discussion and agreed in another thread.
4. I don't need to travel so far to learn the different culture, ideas of different ethnic groups.
5. I can see who are the police, the military, the lawyer, the commoner, the observer, the spies and many kinds of people, as I can see from their statements.

Q. Have you no life?
A. I have, I am too busy on my work but wondering I am still surfing the sub-forums of TFL and its' other link trying to to give opinions and comments when I feel I need too.

Addendum: I forget to say, that I stumbled on this site because I am looking a site to see about DP51 justification if a good gun or not, as I have one in my inventory. And if you asked a question hereon it will be answered right away from those who had first hand experienced on the subject and I did the same for those who are emailing me also.

I find it offensive that you would suggest that we don't have a life separate from TFL. Why just a couple weeks ago, my wife and I went to...

You mean there is anoher life outside of this machine? Of course there is. But when not shooting or looking at guns, I like to talk about them with people that don't think I'm some kind of "gun nut".

I actually didn't realize HOW much i knew (and didn't know) about the sport untili started posting at TFL.

I got here as I vaguely recall from someone chatting on line telling me about it. But I've found myself looking forward to all the serious.. and the not so serious threads.

I do find myself posting/reading at TFL FAR more than I should during the week.. but hey business is slow right now ;)

But hey.. thanks to some of your comments I'm writing more and more and more. Youmay soon see my name in the gun press. ;0

I came here during the heyday of the Rosie boards, when a link here was posted there.

I stay because I don't have to wade through the trailer-trash that I find at other boards like glocktalk (which I sometimes visit even though I don't own one.) This board is the home of the intelligensia and cognoscente of the firearms community.

George made me come here, and he is the boss..... Actually I really like it here, nice to finally see a BBS with an overall intelligence level above that of a snail. I have learned tons of information here on a subject I've always enjoyed, thanks everyone.
