I have to agree with 40caljustice, stopping power is equivalent (the .40 actually wins with standard loads thanks to it's higher velocities) so the tie breaker goes to round count ... more is better.
So do more holes - hehe.remember bigger holes bleed more.

A .45. MY .45 ...... I'd hate for the Stuff To Hit The Fan and for me to be holding an unfamiliar gun.
In reality, given my 'druthers, I'druther be holding my 12 guage. Barring a long gun, I'd go to my .357, and then to my EMP, because I shoot those a lot more than my .45.
I don't own a .40 ....... Oh, it's on The List (and I pick up brass for it if it's laying around), but it's WAY down the list, well below "a spare for everything I have already".
