Who's gettin or giving a gun for Xmas?

Somehow, I have problems reconciling the giving or receiving a killing tool on the birthday of the Prince of Peace.

How many wars have been waged, how much blood shed, lives torn asunder, lines drawn, weapons engaged over the 2000 years of christian domination of the western world in order to promote the prince of peace? How many lives lost due to different interpretations of this prince's message? When should guns be given as presents-- Halloween?
