Who was your first love? Who is you current love?

My first love was my Dad's Winchester single-shot .22 rifle, even though I had my own Marlin 60 at the age of six. I could literally shoot individual acorns at the tops of oak trees with that rifle when I was 10 years old. My current love is my new Springfield M1A.

My first true love was a Savage 99 in .300 Sav.

I saw her from afar, and had to wait for years before I could capture her.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

first love;
Colt Python .357 magnum nickle plated with stag grips with a gator skin IWB holster.

current love; a K40 stainless with night sights, a Harrt's recoil reducing guide rod, a Wolff's extra power recoil spring and a set of wood grips. carried in a srongside Kramer belt scabbard.
however i have an incestous relationship with a MK40 stainless with night sights carried in a Kramer pocket holster or a weakside Kramer belt scabbard. the MK40 is the offspring of the K40 but i love them both.

First love (as yet unfulfilled):

Colt Python, nickel plated, 6" bbl.

First handgun I ever got to hold, back in 1976. Beautiful finish, action worked like vaseline on glass. Gotta get one. 2001 is my target year.

First and only love. Phoenix Armory Street Custom Package Colt Commander .45 acp (100% Reliable). Master Gunsmith Joe Bunsck produced this masterpiece in 1993.

Joe's is very ill these days and unable to gunsmith.

It's the weapon I would never sell due to sentimental reasons. No finer quality exists.

New "like A lot," Glock 27. Too simple not to like A lot!

First was an AMT Harballer Longside. That's when I found out the looks aren't everything.

Current is everything I own.

Broomhandle Mauser when I was a mere kid in grade school. Still love Broomhandles and just had a chance to examine one which had a matching stock (below 40k serial number).

First one was a Ruger New Model Blackhawk .357 . Current one is a Springfield Loaded V12 ;) Still have the .357, will never part with it. :)

I immediately thought of Sally Summers, but then realized you meant firearms.
My first firearm that I fell in love with was a S&W Model 10 that I bought off a retired police officer for $35.
Currently I am carrying on something scandalously with a Browning HiPower I acquired this spring for a heck of a lot more then the S&W Model 10 cost me 33 years ago.

I got my first handgun when I was 10 - Ruger MKII Standard. A cop gave it to me for Christmas (a dear family friend). The first handgun I bought myself (or payed for anyway) was a Taurus PT58 .380...I mowed lawns and slaved at my uncle's nursery all summer to save enough money for it. I wanted a Beretta 92 so bad, but the PT58 was the closest thing I could afford at the time. Since then, I've had 2 Beretta 92FS's, but my favorite of all time is the Sig P220.

1st pistol that ever made me say "Dayum!", Kimber Custom Classic.

Current pistol that makes me say "Dayum!", Glock 34/35.

My first real love is my wife but since we are talking about guns I think that I first found love with a Sig-Sauer P-225 9mm. I shall now let you gaze upon it.

Like DeadinNC, my true love right now is my Sig P-229 in .40. It has a crappy finish (scratches on the slide and a small chip where the decocker hits the frame), but I always hit what I aim at with her...

My first love was also a Sig P-229, but this one was in 9mm. My friend sold it to me at a great price. I've been into shooting ever since. He wanted it back, so I sold it back to him. We've agreed that we will only sell it to each other...

Maybe our kids will pass it back and forth, too :)

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Cat: I immediately thought of Sally Summers, but then realized you meant firearms ...[/quote]I have to get out more -- I don't even know who she is AND the other day somebody told me that Seinfeld is no longer on the air and that there WAS an X-Files movie in the theaters.

My first gun was a Glock 17, but alas, she was not my first love. I bought her strictly for home defense so it was kinda like taking your sister to the prom - she fits the bill, but no romance at all. Then I picked up a S&W Sigma 380 for concealed carry, an ugly little gun with a harsh kiss and a serious weight distribution problem (she must have been retaining iron).

However, my first TRUE love, the one I wanted but didn't need, was a S&W 686 4" barrel. She is sweet, and I treat her gently. Over time she has supplanted by my newest love, my Glock 23 with night sights. She feels good in the hand and is feisty enough to be exciting.
