Who Still makes metal framed 9mm pistols

I have a buddy wanting to buy a stainless stell double action 9mm and I honestly cannot think of anything besides a Beretta,. Who else makes one?

Bersa, Taurus, TriStar, and Tanfoglio. I think Taurus and Tanfoglio make a SS model. Bersa makes a two tone and TriStar has Cerakoted finishes.

A Beretta 92 FS Inox has a stainless slide and barrel mated to an aluminum frame coated to resemble the color of the stainless slide. I have one, and it is beautiful both asthetically and functionally, but it is not all stainless. The CZ 75B is an iconic 9 mm that is available in an all-stainless version. Starting to eyeball that one myself.

I am pretty sure SIG does. I was looking at one of their 10mm SA only P220s and think the LGS had a DA/SA SS gun there also.

Canik. HOWEVER, I haven't seen anything other than their TP series being imported for quite some time. I have a Stingray, all steel frame, love the gun. I've seen used come on the market from time to time.

Double action steel would be Smith and Wesson best choice. Might be others but not American made, probably Italian made which would be a better gun for same price.

CZ and Sig, the plethora of overseas manufacturers who make CZ knock offs (EAA, Sarsilmaz, Tristar), Beretta, Taurus.

My pick would be the CZ75B

Star 31P is all stainless, but is out of production, the company is gone, and mags are almost impossible to find. On the plus side, when you find them they are usually pretty cheap, and they shoot great.

TriStar / EAA

Y'all take note that TriStar and EAA are merely importers.

AFAIK all TriStar pistols are made by Canik, and the DA/SA CZ-ish EAAs are made by Tanfoglio or Sarsilmaz. :) (Compared to some of what they've put out in the past, EAA's current website and product literature make it more clear who actually makes their stuff.)

Alas, the excellent 3rd gen S&W all metal guns went out of production quite some time ago. I think it was back in the late '90s.

The good news is that they can be found as used guns, and some are only barely used. They can be found in full and compact sizes, with aluminum frames and steel frames. I am a fan of those guns, and my home is defended with loaded 3rd gen models.

Bernie, your buddy does himself a disservice by only wanting an all stainless steel pistol. There are many with aluminum frames which are first-rate pistols. I'm partial to SIGs and Beretta 92s, in that category, as well as the S&W 3rd gen guns.
