WHO LIKE'S .22'S ???

S&W 22a, Phoenix Arms HP-22, Sundance Point Blank Derringer. I love to shoot them all!

.22s? Everyone should have several!

Remington Nylon 66

Ruger Single Six

Ruger .22/45

One of those $50 Romanian bolt guns.

An ancient single shot Remington

Beretta 21

Sterling POS pocket rocket

POS Davis Derringer (junkiest gun in the collection).

I am getting especially a lot of use out of the Romanian .22 lately, nice hiking/plinking rifle.

I have a FEG clone of a PPK. I used it a couple weeks ago to expose target shooting and basic handgun safety to a novice who had only shot BB guns in his youth. It was fun because of many reasons. Good accuracy, cheap, all the features of the bigger caliber guns and in the same location, cheap, I was supplying the bullets, and it was cheap.

I would never be without a good .22LR rifle and handgun.

I believe strongly that all people should be taught to shoot, safety, and fundamentals, on .22s. JMHO. J.B.

Had some nice one's over the year's; Smith & Wesson Model 18 with TH and TT, a model 34 Kit gun just to name a few. Currently, I own
the excellent Ruger MK-II KMK-512. :D

I borrow my Dad's .22 (Astra Cadix Snubie). Don't see any reason buying one yet since I could borrow it any time.

Very happy owner of a Buckmark Plus. My first handgun was a 1911, a month later I bought the Browning. Six months later I haven't fired the "biggie" for two months but put 950 rounds thru it the first four. Don't like the recoil or the expense.

But the Browning, ahhh yes, the .22. Almost three thousand rounds to date, shoot at least l50 each time to the range, shot it yesterday, shot it monday, the sunday before that, shoot it at least once a week, usually more Just cannot get enough of it, fun, Fun, fUn, fuN, FUN!!!

I like to shoot blocks of wood I cut up into two and three inch squares. One really neat thing about .22's is my blocks last longer. The .45 would destroy some of them with one shot. Oooooh, so bad a gun, big deal, this is supposed to be fun not an ego trip! Hung some up yesterday with clothesline cord from a 2X4 beam and talk about fun! Pretend they are multiple threats, try to hit them as they are swinging after being allready hit, see how fast you can hit all six without any misses (easy to do with ten round mag 'cause I DO miss sometimes!). When they finally fall of the cord, chase them around on the ground.

I told my son in law yesterday (he shoots a 22/45), if I had to give up all of my guns except one (.357 revolver, .45 auto, 9mm Makarov, .22 Buckmark) the .22 would stay, nooo question.

I love my S&W 617. Next time I give into the temptation to buy, I'll probably get a Ruger Mk II, or maybe a 22/45.

BTW, one of my three .22 rifles, MrB, is a Winchester 9422 Trapper, what a blast!

I picked up a Ruger 22/45 two months ago and gave it to my 9 year old daughter. Yes, I keep the gun and ammo locked up unless she wants to go shooting with me.

I was amazed that within two magazines of ammo, she could shoot perfectly accurate, including hitting little pepper poppers, etc. She's still not quite strong enough to initially pull the little slide thingy back to load and cock the pistol. But that's why I'm there, as well as helping her learn and practice the big 5 safety rules :)

I'm embarrassed to say that I love it too, regardless of my 357 SIG mean machine.

I like .22s and usually take one to the range whatever else I may be shooting. My favorites: S&W Model 17, Browning Semi-Auto rifle, and Ruger 10/22.

Some .22s I used to own but traded away and wish I hadn't: Ruger MK II stainless with 5 1/2-inch bull barrel, Remington Nylon 66, Browning BLR-22, and Winchester 9422XTRE.

Ruger 10/22 and an old MK I bull barrel
Taurus PT 22 and a Model 96 revolver
S&W 22a
an old J. C. Higgins 22 rifle that was my Dad's. It was made by High Standard and is the model that has the sling built into the stock. Dont shoot it much anymore for sentimental reasons but I bet I carried it a million miles when I was a kid.

And last but not least an old beat up ratty lookin Ithica model 49 single shot rifle that I bought at a gun show for $40. Its my truck gun and I've had more fun and shot that more than anything I own.

I think I'd still shoot as many .22s if CF rounds were just as cheap ($.02 each).
Course, then I'd shoot alot more CF too!
:)

Anyway, last time I had my S&W M18 out I put 550 Rem. Golden Bullets through it in about two hours.
I also brought an M&P in .38 from 1955 and put 150 through it.
Mainly DA combat style on falling plates.
Or, with the .22, "ringing plates". The little 40 grainer doesn't knock 'em down.
I like that, less bending and lifting!

My retired 1947 K-22 is a wonderful piece!
Aside from its undeniable physical beauty, it is superbly accurate.

With it, I could take down poker chips at 50 yds about 50% of the time.
Probably my failing, not the gun's.

Got a newer K-22, a M17-3 to shoot instead now.
This one, when it wore a Weaver 2.5-8x, it would consistently pack 6 Green Tags into an inch circle at 40 measured yards.

Love them little S&W M63's too!

And, at the other end of the spectrum, in every sense of the term, is my Jennings J-22.
For some odd reason, I still like that pot metal plinker.

Don't own any, but I like the following too:
Winchester M63
Browning BL-22 lever gun
Marlin 60
Win. 52
S&W M41
Colt Woodsman
Ruger MkII (this one is on my "must buy" list)
Win 9422
Colt Ar-15 w/ .22 Conversion
And there are so many others to dream about...

Y'know, I think a better question would've been "Who doesn't like .22's???"
Man, those must be wierd folks, huh?
:)

.22's? Got a few. My favorites are a S&W 617, a 10/22 with after market stuff, and a
Volquartsen 10/22 style in .22WMR. The revolver to keep my trigger finger in shape and the others for fun and skill.

.22 rimfire is a blast. Cheap, versatile, accurate, great to learn with. Most trips to the range or other venue will include at least one 22, usually both rifle and hand gun. I firmly believe you can never have too many .22s.
