I mate my scopes to the rings with JB Weld. Put a very small layer of JB in the lower ring, lay the scope in place and hold down with rubber bands. do not forget to use a release agent on your scope. Your scope will never have dings or ring marks with this system... and fit perfect. I agree with the burris Z ring. I have a couple of those. In any case,,do not ''farmer tight'' your rings. One can destroy a scope by tightening the rings too much.
