Who Agrees That We Should Americanize The World?

We are trying to Americanize the world.

While the liberals are busy deamericanizing America!

I see we have a new nut teacher in Nabraska? teaching young Americans how to hold war crimes trials against their president.

This after we catch another liberal rag indoctrinating kids in a high school, he compared Bush to Hitler, and the kids walked out!
 
Some of you really need to open some history books.

Powerful civilizations and nations have always tried to influence as many people as possible, usually by force. It's simple human nature.

True but there's no scientific basis for that. The idea that America qualifies as an empire is supported by the definition of the word empire and by the current as well as past actions of the US.

Merriam Webster said:
1 a (1) : a major political unit having a territory of great extent or a number of territories or peoples under a single sovereign authority; especially : one having an emperor as chief of state

The United States is a major political unit having a territory of great extent and a number of territories and people under sovereign authority. The "single" qualifier does not explicitly limit the definition to mean a single individual, rather a single person, organization, or entity. Many gun owners and other state's rights advocates view the federal government as that very entity which holds sovereign authority over the territory and people we're referring to.

Exactly. So the point is that using the word "empire" to denote some evil and horrendous entity is not only overreaching and a misuse of the word but it's also counterproductive to an argument.
