Shiply, Provided they both have cloth seats and otherwise identical specs (4x4, limited slip, auto, trailer tow, etc) a LE is actually about $90 cheaper (invoice) than an SE with the sunroof package (standard on the LE). Supprised the dealer too when we ran the numbers. Plus the LE has a couple of foo-foo items like climate control and zircon encrusted nipple clips (or something). I like the mono-color look of the LE, but your right - the wheels are kinda fugly.

YMMV. Around the upper Midwest loaded Pathfinders are about $30,000 plus tax and registration. 4Runners typically two grand more, tho right now Toyota is between model years so there are some good deals to be had, but limited inventory. Rodeos have a $1,500 - $2,000 rebate going, they're around $25,000. Add 1 to 2k for leather.

The pretty much all have sunroofs. Not something I really wanted, but hey, ITSHTF and TEOTWAWKI comes I can always mount a .50 cal up there. -- Kernel :)

My two-year-old boy suggested a red waggon. He really enjoys his.

Benefits include:

Fantastic gas mileage.
Low maintenance.
Great insurance cost.
Convertible - All the time.
4WDD = Four Wheel Daddy drive.

Overall, not a bad driver. I almost concidered driving the thing when the gas prices got to $2.25 here in IN.

Actually, I do use his little wagon at the range. Great for pulling around your stuff but tough on the interstate.

I truly hope you enjoy your new vehicle.

Regards,

MP Freeman

As a note, Nissan climate control sucks in those tween times where you don't want air, but you don't want heat either. Say, in the mid-50s. Just about everyone else has a fresh air override, but the Nissan feels compelled to either heat or cool to get the correct temp.

I'm either going to get the Cruiser, or an SUV. :) (I wouldn't want to take anything that looks like the Cruiser off-road, anyway!)

Go look at the new Dodge Dakota Quab Cabs. The 2001 Model meets all of your requirements and you have a bed to haul things around it. It is a really nice truck. I love it. Those 4 big doors makes getting in and out of the back seat a breeze.
