There has to be a legal way around this legal problem. You might ask your friend to ask their employer or people who would handle the processing and receive payment.
About the legality, have your friend purchase and have it transferred into his name so he doesnt get in trouble with work, then have it LEGALLY transfered into your name with a 4473. Pretty easy.
