Which of these would you carry?

You walk into a room. You're told you will be in an environment where you need to be armed. It will be open carry. What weapon do you choose from the following.

Glock 41
Glock 19
SIG P226 9mm
HK P30 9mm
FNX-45

You can only pick one. Go!

None of them are my personal choice. So I'd pick what ever was the closest. Shot placement is what counts, the all go bang when you pull the trigger.

But if I was forced to pic one? The sig, because it fits my had better then the glocks.

Well, I know the G19. I sold it due to the grip thing, but if it were a Gen 4, I know that can be addressed, but despite never even having held one, I'd be tempted by the HK. The ergos look very comfortable and people rave about the quality... So, the HK!

Of those choices and under the circumstances laid out, FNX-45. I've never fired an FNX-45, but it's hard to argue with 15+1 of .45 acp.

I would choose the G19, but based on familiarity rather than features. There is a lot to be said for knowing your hardware when things go south.

Frankly I wouldn't go into that environment lol. That said, were I compelled to choose I would say HK P30, but not by any massive margin. The FNX is compelling, but I wear a medium glove and it's a big gun for me. Plus the weight all day would get to me.

SIG or Glock 19. Both very proven. Both I like and are familiar with both. Both are quicker to clear leather with vs the FN and 41.

That being said any old thing will do to ambush me a rifle in this hypothetical war zone that I have no choice being in. :D.

Not really a bad choice in the bunch.

I tend to like .45acp in a full size gun so I'd probably go with the G41 or FNX-45 if I shot them well enough.

The 19 is hard to beat for CCW and wouldn't be a bad choice if concealing were a concern.

Otherwise flip a coin and practice with the choice.

The only one I own on the list is the Glock 19, so either the P226 or the P30, on the grounds that if I am getting to take a gun, I'd rather have one I don't already own. :D

Any or most of the above.

As you know, I own and do carry:

P226
P30
HK45
Glock 21
and others.

For a most comfortable, full-time carry, I really like the P30.

HK45/45C are pretty much my preference for 45's these days. Not as many rounds of the FNX, but better ergos and more comfortable to carry for sure.

What are you gaining with the FNX over the G41? Nothing. With the +2 base plates that I know you have - because you convinced me to get them... you already have 15+1 of 45.

Carry the one you shoot best and train with the most often. If something happens it will be more about the Indian then the arrow in this instance. All the guns you have listed are up to the task if you are. IMHO

Personally of the ones you have listed I would take the P226. I have thousands of rounds of trigger time on the gun. If I was in known hostile environment I could carry 17+1 and then have multiple mags for backup but lets be honest we all know you are not going into a war zone. You will be hard pressed to justify discharging more than 18 rounds in public. IMHO.

I would be annoyed that the list of available guns includes nothing I own or have a lot of familiarity with, so I'd likely take the Glock 19.

I don't care for Sig pistols at all but I know that they have quite a following and are very well known as a phenomenal design. However, with what I have seen out of Sig in the past few years, I'd want THAT 226 to be a handful of years old before I rolled the dice on it.

Also, I'd be awfully curious about the ammo that I'm being forced to swallow (since obviously, I'm being force-fed this short list of guns I certainly didn't choose) and you can bet that I'd be grabbing one of the .45s if the ammo was all FMJ stuff.

And since this is obviously just a fun little "I MADE THIS UP!" scenario and I'm being pushed toward a threat against my will and with a small array of handguns I did not choose, I'm going to stuff as many of them in my belt as I can, and if I'm going to Mexican carry, I'd probably take a DA/SA over something striker fired to place on my person without a proper holster.

And when I run out of space because of all the handguns, and one orphan gets left behind, it'll be that ugly HK with the ammo stuffed in to the magazine backwards because they suck and I hate them.

In terms of function, reliability, or the cartridge's effectiveness in a real-world situation (with quality ammo), there's not a dime's worth of difference between any of those options.
