Out of the following four guns ...
... which one should I have in my nightstand (actually in a strongbox with a simplex lock mounted under the bed) so that I can grab it first when I need a firearm?

S&W 1006 which offers ten rounds of 10mm - Out of the four guns listed, this one has the most powerful balistics and therefore the best stopping power. The drawback is that it has a significant kick to it and I might not be able to shoot it as accurately as might be required (what is it that they say about a hit with a .25ACP is better than a miss with a ...). Additionally, it holds only 10 rounds (9+1) -- the smallest amount of the four.

Para-Ordnance P14-45 which offers fifteen rounds of .45ACP - Ideally, at least on paper, this would appear to be the best choice as fifteen rounds of .45ACP is hard to beat. However, it has been mmy experience that this gun is not as accurate as the other three -- while I have never had a failure with the others, I have experienced a few failures with this one. Additionally, while I have shot & carried SA 1911-type guns, my training, background and bulk of my expereince has been with traditional DA/SA type firearms.

S&W 4006 which offers twelve rounds of .40S&W - While not as powerful as the 10mm, it gives the .45ACP a good run for the money. However, it only offers twelve rounds when compared to the fifteen offered by the .45 and the sixteen offered by the 9mm.

S&W 659 which offers sixteen rounds of 9mm - Out of the four guns listed here, I can shoot this one the most accurately and it does offer the most amount of ammo. However, while I myself have even posted here that when using the best loads there isn't much difference between the 9mm, .40S&W, and the .45ACP; the bottom line is that out of these four calibers, the 9mm has the least stopping power.
Under these conditions, which one should I elect to rely on as my primary home defense firearm?
