Which New 9 For Me?

Fomr and Function

I'd recommend the Walther P99. The .40 was the one that had the recurring problems from what I've seen. My 9MM is about 3 months old and has performed flawlessly and accurately. The only problem with the P99 is that when you go shooting with your buddies it always seems like they end up shooting yours and you end up having to shoot their crappy guns ;-)

Good luck on whatever you decide to get.

While it does take around eight to ten pounds of force to move the squeeze cocking lever into firing position, it only requires about three pounds of force to keep it there. The novice P7 shooter often doesn't understant this fact.

G-19 with a 3.5 pound trigger. The trigger is a Glock factory part and makes the gun far easier to shoot acurately, and has no impact on the fantastic reliability and rugged character or the gun. The part only costs 30 bucks and is a simple drop in piece.

I highly recommend the CZ75B. Mine has functioned flawlessly and the accuracy has been phenominal. Plus it has the cocked and locked capability.

Another vote for the BHP. I put Spegel grips on my Mk III and upgraded it to modern standards by getting rid of the magazine disconnect. I carry it and compete in IDPA with it. Highly recommended.

It's close to perfect for a gun that size. The only thing that keeps it from attaining perfection is a relatively long trigger reconnect.

For concealiblity, accuracy and reliablity the HK P7M8 is hard to beat. It is worth the the few extra hundred dollars. A used but excellent conditon P7 will run around $750 - $900. That being said a BHP for $450 - $550 is a great alternative as well as the CZ-75B which can be carried cocked and locked for around $350 - $400. If you want small get the P7. If you want hi-cap, get the BHP or CZ or actually a P7M13 (13 round version of the P7).

Springfield 9mm a 1911?

Speaking of CZ's. The springfield someone mentioned earlier is a copy of the CZ...the frame and slide are made in Italy by tanfoglio.
Its a DAMN nice gun! It takes the EAA/Tanfoglio mags perfectly.
Reliability is up there with the namesake from which is was copied.

Shoot well

Another vote for the HK P7M8 or M13. Fast, accurate, with a certain elitist flair.:D
Btw, I have a Kahr K9 Elite and while it isn't a single action it sure feels like one.
A fine weapon and one you might want to consider as well.
