Which is your most reliable pistol?

Revolvers don't count :p Also, forget about the first 500 rounds break-in period.

My Beretta 92FS is the most reliable pistol I have ever owned. It has almost 12,000 rounds through it now and I had total 2 jams (both were failure to feed) with my handloads but it has never jammed with factory ammo. My H&K P7M8 comes close with 2 jams (failure to feed) with my handloads but again it has never jammed with factory ammo. This pistol has been fired just over 10,000 rounds. In my personal experience/observation I think most good quality pistol will go about 2,000-4,000 rounds between jams provided you use good ammo, magazine and keep the pistol cleaned and lubed.

My most reliable pistol? My Beretta 92G Elite. Just crossed 10,000 rounds 2 weeks ago. Not one malfunction of any sort. My 92FS is most likely as reliable. I just haven't shot it as much. 4500 rounds or so.

I replace ALL springs every 2500 rounds with Wolff and maintain them with Break Free CLP.

My non-Beretta handguns have since been traded away, except for a single-shot handcannon. I've finally found what works and my Beretta collection has continued to grow.

I'm seriously considering a Glock 26 as a carry piece so I'm nervous about the reliability issue again. It's difficult for me to carry a 92 in the Florida heat so I just hope that the Glock will meet the standards of my Beretta.

All my pistols are reliable because if they aren't, they aren't my pistols anymore.
That said, the one I have the most rounds through is my Kimber Gold Match.

HK MK23 with over 20,000 rounds throught it with no malfunctions what so ever.
It is also scary accurate, but a bit big for most folks!!!

HK pistols I think are the best.
There was no "break-in" period with mine.
Accurate and reliable right out of the box.
After several thousand rounds no malfunctions and no spring changes etc.

I have complete confidence that all my pistols will fire when I pull the trigger. However, the one that works the most smoothly says GLOCK on the slide.

2. Glock 21 (0 malfunctions in 1,400 rounds)
3. Ruger P97 (0 malfunctions in 400 rounds

Hey Will. Is that one of the new Glocks with the writting on the other side of the slide:

Dishwasher safe on top shelf only? :p

So far I've only put 2000 rounds through it but I have had no problems with an older Smith 5904 I picked up two weeks ago. I've used several different factory mags in it with a variety of ammo. The model 59 I picked up at the same time has done nearly as well with only two FTF in approximately 1500 rounds.

I was promised a Shortycicle and I want a Shortycicle!

I`ve had CZ 100, Norinco 201C, Glock 17 and Beretta 92FS Inox. I don`t know which is my most reliable pistol, but I do know which is European most popular pistol because of its reliability and durability. And the answer is: Get a pistol with a big "G" on its slide!
I think you understand what I mean. ;)

Reliable, hmmmmmm, you mean reliable to make noise when you pull the trigger everytime. That has to be a glock/sig/berreta.

If you mean reliable as to make noise everytime you pull the trigger and hit your target under stress.
That has to be the natural pointing CZ75b or Browning HP, Sigp210. -ddt4free

Gunslinger,
I've never put a Glock in my dishwasher, however I've heard some guys say that they did. They were serious! I looked into their faces to see if it was a joke. They never cracked a smile, they really were serious! Dishwaser/pistol...doesn't seem to go together, does it? :)
By the way. How is Terri's back?

Will

Will, I've heard that the new "top shelf only" warning has really helped reliability with them. Like any Tupperware the life expectancy is much improved. :D

Terri's back is much better. Thank you for asking. In fact she is back to her old self. :)

Gunslinger,
Maybe I should try it. I could put a Baby Glock in that small basket area. Nope, Nancy just said NO!! :)
Seriously though, regarding Terri's back. She needs to kind of take it easy for a few months. That was my problem. I just kept re-injuring my back. Sometimes just a sneeze would put me down. Once I got stuck in the shower. I couldn't lift my leg up and over the side of the tub. :(
