I ordered my Glock 17 with Trijicon night sights in 92. Then when the recoil rod chipped on the wheel are that secures the barrel. I got a stainless steel casptured guide rod in 00. Then I got an extended mag catch/slide stop in 01. Last in 02 I got a 3.5# trgger job. So I keeped it stock for about 8 years. Then I got more serious about shooting & added extended mag catch/slide stop & 3.5# trigger. Now after shooting my Glock 17 every week for over a year straight & dry firing daily. I don't like my Glock, I don't shoot it as well as I think I should. Now the extended mag catch/slide stop work well. The 3.5# connector helps me shot faster but no more accurately. Now my accuracy problem could be due to the fact that the gun might be too big for my hand & I'll never shoot it well. There are 2 problems with the extended mag catch/ slide stop to be aware of. Extended mag catch. You might accidently hit the mag catch either when the gun is in your holster or with your thumb during firing. When the gun is in your holster check the mag to mak shure it's fully inserted. Use your index & middle finger over the mag well use thumb to push in the mag. When accidently hitting the mag catch with thumb during firing. Watch grip. For either problem NFLM (non drop free) help because you wont loose your mag on the ground. Extended slide stop. When the slid is moving during firing your thumb could move the side stop up & lock open the slide, when you don't want to. Solution put your weak thumb over your strong watch grip.
