Simple. S&W .44 Magnum.:D

Of course as somebody mentioned there are 1911s and then there are 1911s.

I'm sure you didn't mean a GI 1911, pretty hard to come by in good shape these days. If you said Colt Gold Cup or Government Model that would be a whole lot different than generic 1911 which includes who knows how many clones and made out of what or where. If by 1911 you meant a government issue pistol or one marked by the familiar horsey, I would say it don't get no better than that.

But of your list, Glock is a meaningful term and I would chose that with high caps.;)

There's a reason Saint John Browning invented the Hi-Power and didn't just create a double stack 9mm 1911. The co-inventor Dieudonne Saive also brought us the FN-FAL.

Of the ones offered I'd have to go with an HP. Just feels right.

But if given a choice of OTHER I'd have to pick a S&W wheelgun :D

I voted for two 1911's.

Probably a 5" and a Commander. Or maybe a 1911 and a 1911A1. How about a Commander and a Defender. Maybe an Officer's and a CCO.

Thanks a lot. Now I need EIGHT 1911's.

Two 1927 Sistemas (Or maybe U.S. GIs if you can find two for under a grand each and not beat to heck).

One as a project to fix up with all the cool 1911 goodies out there.

The other to keep stock, shoot once in a while for a real challenge and to remind yourself how comfy new pistols are these days.

You're joking, right? There is no comparison in reliability between a 1911 (90 year old design with much metal-to-metal friction) and a quality modern auto like Glock, Sig or HK. The only feature of 1911's that appeal to people is the look & the history.

2 1911s thats my vote. You just can beat it as far a look and feel. If you run out of round you can throw it at someone. You cant hurt someone throwing a Glock at them.
