Which is better: an original CZ75 or a CZ75B?

I went and looked at the pistol again today- it is a Basuka import made in 1984. It does not come with the box, however it is in what appears to be next to unfired condition. There are no marks or blemishishs on it anywhere, and the hi-cap mag has no surface wear on it either. From what I have read it seems that $359 is a steal for this piece.
It is polymer coated. I think I am going to go pick it up tomorrow. Just out of curiosity, what would be considered an "average" price for one of these pistols today? Oh, and Legion, sorry about that questioning of where they are made. After I posted that I smacked my forehead when I realized, "Of course, he meant the Czech Republic!"

Hi again RCS -

It sounds like the CZ-75 you're looking at is the exact same one that I have. Same year, same finish, same importer. And the price is great! Grab it and run! I can't see myself ever parting with my CZ, and I hope you'll be just as happy with yours.
The only thing I would change on my pistol is the sights...I'd like to get a set of high-visibility sights, or even better, tritiums! :)
Anybody out there with any thoughts on fitting better sights to a 1984 vintage CZ?
Best of luck with your new toy, RCS!

RCS,

$349 for a Basuka Imported CZ is a fair price, especially in the condition you describe. The lack of an original box and paper work lowers the value. Try to get the seller to lower the price. If you can get it at $300 that would be a bargain.

I keep forgetting to mention one of my favorite things about the early CZ's, the scalloped slide serrations. I just love how they look and feel.

So many pistols, so little money.

I specifically asked if there was a "cash discount" earlier today. I had $350 in my pocket and asked if we could work something, however he said the only way the price would be lowered is if it had been sitting there for 10 years. So $359 + tax it is. It basically comes out to the same price as buying a new one, no matter where I get it.
Oh, and Legion, I too wasn't particularly wild about the sights on it.
