Which Handgun Do You Currently Own That You Just Hate?

Dont hate S&W pistols... They are good guns from an old company with a lot of history.
What they did recently is an abomination... They lates S&W cadre of management should be publicly flogged.

My 24K Gold 100th VFW Anniversary Colt Government. It's so pretty with the engravings I can't ruin it by shooting it. So it just sits in the safe teasing me.

I don't keep them if I don't like them.

The one gun that I came to dislike very quickly was the Glock 22. That's the one I owned, but I don't like the Glocks, period.

They're top heavy. They're too fat. The trigger pull drives me up a wall. But mostly the chamber does not support the web of the cartridge, the throat is oversized, and the feed ramp is too deeply cut. The resulting chamber poorly supports brass and the brass expands oversized. When the brass is repeatedly resized it becomes brittle. Use brittle brass in an oversized, poorly supported chamber and you're risking a case/head separation -- the ol' Glock kaBOOM.

I traded in my G-22 after about 5 weeks. Fastest turn around on a handgun I've ever done.

The Smith & Wesson line is really nice. Too bad their politics suck.

All of this hatred just can't be healthy. Why not rid your life of stress and send me all of your worries? :-)

I purchased an SW99 in January 2000. The pistol has been extremely reliable, firing over 1700 rounds (mainly FMJ) of CCI, Federal HS, and Corbon. It took about 400 rounds before I got used to the trigger. In retrospect, I should have considered the Glock 19 or Sig 229. I just do not feel this is the weapon for me, can’t pin down any particulars.
I will not trade the SW99 because here in NYC the licensed gun owners must wait at least 3 Months for a new purchase order. Upon purchasing a new firearm, I will just use the SW99 for Home protection (not allowed to carry).
