Which Handgun Do You Currently Own That You Just Hate?

This is a follow up thread to "What Handgun Are You Completely Satisfied With". As for
me, I just got rid of one of my beloved Sig's; the P229, because I just hated the
darn thing. It would not group well, at all;
slinging most shot's low and to the left at
about 7 o'clock on the target. Plus, recoil
with factory ammo and the short grip was
worst than my Glock 27!!! I disliked
it so dam much; I traded it for a NIB Smith
& Wesson Model 629 Classic!!! :D Wow! No flames, please. Now, I'm as happy as a pig
in a mud puddle. :p

Best Wishes,

Traded a Sig for a S&W?
I hate my Rossi 38 spec., wife loves it.

No matter how long I think about it, it still doesn't make sense.

sgtar15 and bk40; I own three other Sig's that are perfect, in every respect; however
the P229 didn't "fill the bill". :( With the
stainless steel slide, it seems to be a bit
top heavy also. :) Didn't particulary want
a Ruger Redhawk or a Taurus .44, or a Desert
Eagle for that matter; so I chose the S&W
629-5 Classic. It has the slickest
action of any S&W N-frame that I have ever
owned, bar none!!! :D

My sw99 is a pos! The gun itself is a cool piece of machinery but it won't group for the life of me. My brother's glock 26 shoots better and my g35 blows it away. Its still a new gun so I hope to get most of my money back. yeah right!!!!

Here come the flames -- I hate my Glock 23C.

I know I must be the only individual in the entire world that feels this way, but I can't hit the broad side of a barn with the thing, whereas I feel at least reasonably competent with my Sigs, S&Ws, Clot, Kimbers, and so forth.

To be completely fair, the Glock has performed flawlessly and I agree that its reliability and durability are outstanding, but it groups far worse than any of my other autoloaders or revolvers.

Well, I don't still own them....

I had to get rid of a SW99, it wouldn't shoot particularly well, and the chamber was slightly oversize. As I reload, this caused me problems with the casese going into any other .40 S&W that I own. (The cases won't size down the very bottom).

The other gun I had to get rid of was a Beretta 92FS. I owned the gun for a couple of years, and couldn't hit anything with it, so I sold it. For some reason, I was talked into buying a Brigadaer Elite in .40 S&W, and am able to shoot fine with it. Go figure.

Wow - Two people hate the SW99???
I've love mine. It's .40S&W - works and shoots great. Have not tried any handloads in it though.

As for the one I hate - it's that $#*%@&! Helwan Brigadier. Still looking for someone who will take money to give it a new home. :D

It' a tie between my Beretta Cougar .40 and my old S/A AMT Backup .380. My .40 Cougar shoots all over the place, but I'm very accurate with my brother's Cougar in 9mm. I'm also accurate with my .40 Walther P99, and my .40 Sig 2940, so it isn't the caliber. I should probably send it back to Beretta and have them check it out.

Hi Dan:

"Hate" might be too strong of a word but I have mixed feelings about my MK9. I like it's small size, accuracy & reliability. However, it's weight makes it difficult to carry around all day -- not because it is too heavy to carry but because the weight causes it to shift around and it requires frequent re-adjustments. Additionally (and this is a personal thing), I feel uneasy about carrying one in the pipe with pistols that are striker fired (like Kahrs, Glocks, etc.) and it seems that a number of others [Link to invalid post] about it. So, I like the gun but hate it at the same time (does that make any sense?). I wish that the design was similar to the Colt Pocket Nine.

I guess I'm lucky. I love ALL of my handguns. The only one I ever really hated was a Bersa .380. I traded it straight up for a Hi Standard Sentinel .22 revolver, great deal for me.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

H&K VP70.

Looks neat, feels great in the hand, gives me finger hernias after a mag full...darn 15 pound trigger...and that is AFTER the Wolff spring kit shaved three pounds off it...

I don't still own 'em, but here goes:

1. Taurus PT-99: I disliked this gun. Period. Unreliable feeding & ejection (had a tendency to stovepipe). Would also throw spent cases directly into my face and on top of my head! Traded it in on a S&W 686. Love that gun!

2. EAA Witness: had a 9mm in Wonderfinish. I liked that gun EXCEPT that it would NOT hit POA for anything. Always VERY low. Even bought some Mec-Gar adjustables for it and still wouldn't hit. Nice gun... too bad it wouldn't hit where I wanted it to. Sold it and bought a Hi-Power. LOVE that gun too!

The Intra-Tec "Sport 22". Perhaps hate is to strong a word. "Sport" will be the next gun sold. I just don't like the reciever cover popping open after recoil of the bolt IF the thing would ever feed ONE FREAKIN' ROUND.
anodes.

Taurus 945. Good shooting gun but I cant get adjustable sights for it and it hammer bites the hell out of me. I have big hammy hands and it just kills me to shoot it. I shot it to qualify for my Texas CCW and the instructor stopped the class so we could stop the bleeding. :D (still shot a 247 out of a possible 250 ;) )

Would have to agree with a couple of the other postings. Had a SW99 for a total of 1 month. Couldn't keep it on the paper. Liked the features and it felt good in the hand. Traded back to the gun shop for a new G17C. Don't regret that one bit. Still can't say that I actually HATED the thing. How about strongly DISLIKED. Have never really hated any of the guns I have or the ones I have fired.

Gun control means hitting your target!!!

The one that doesn't work.

The only one I have in that catagory is a Walther TPH (American).

Unfortunately it is so bad that I wouldn't even trade it unless I could give the guy money.

I got as a "gift" on the advice of my "gun dlr" when the giver asked for something "different" for me.....an Erma .22 Luger.

Phooey. I have "engraved" it. It is now an American Turkey Luger. Has floral leaves. And a turkey on the chamber. All finely engraved with a ..... PIN !

Course the gun is zinc.

It will fire once without jamming.
