Which gun to buy

I want to buy a new fun range gun.

....and you didn't consider a revolver?

Go with the Colt 1911, but go full sized. Much more pleasant to shoot at the range than a Commander size.

Hmmm...

I like the SIG the best out of the bunch.

The High Power is very nice, but needs some work out of the box. The Colt may or may not need work out of the box to make it functional (I have had good luck with Colts).

Do you want a different caliber? Try 357 SIG out of a SIG P229. Buy a 40 S&W barrel so you can shoot more common ammunition. I think you will like 357 SIG since it shoots very, very tight groups.

Glock 22 and get a 357 Sig barrel. Hell, at some point get a conversion 9mm barrel and you can use your G17 mags. 3 calibers, one frame, one slide.

CZ 75B or 1911. I own a 75b Stainless and it's awesome. If you buy one you will want more. It's true what they say about CZ being a cult following. A 1911 is next on my list though. No collection is complete without one.
