Which gun do you trust your life with ??

Glock 21, Ruger P97, Sig Sauer P239, and Glock 26 (all 4 have been 100 percent reliable). I put the G21 first, due to awesome accuracy, and 13+1 rounds of a big bullet!

I would trust my life with any of my guns. If they weren't dependable, I wouldn't keep them for a second. Right now, I choose to rely on my Glock 19 for self-defense and I won't go anywhere without it.

What .357Sig said!

I have a variety of guns, both short and long, that I'd trust my life to.

I don't have any that I wouldn't.

In general, I have:

Handguns, mostly Glock and Kel-Tec.

Carbines from Marlin, Norinco and Ruger.

Pump shotguns from Mossberg.

Make mine lean, mean, and 9x19!

For home and carry, I would only trust my life to a Ruger or Smith 357 Revolver.

Now if you were going to drop me into a Jungle somewhere, I'd choose something else. But for your basic civilian needs I choose the ole wheelgun.

I have a G23 on my hip and S&W 342 in my pocket right now. When around the house a SIG or Glock are within reach. I would say I am confident in any of those (6 SIGS, 4 Glocks).

Currently, any one (or more) of the following...

Wilson 1996-A2 45 ACP
Glock 17
S&W Model 60 in 38 Special
NAA Guardian 32 Auto

Got a brand new Caspian Custom Commander in 45 ACP on probation right now - once it has gone 200 trouble free rounds I'll add it to my list.

Colt .45 automatic---
Lightweight Commander almost every day.
Lightweight OACP or a Government Model on occasion.

And usually an alloy frame .38 revolver somewhere in the background.

If I can make it to the car, there's a Savage Scout, or rarely, an AR-15 or a short .30-30.

.357 Sig has made the PERFECT response. Matches my sentiments exactly.

As for what I grab first if I think I'm going to need a gun...

1. My S&W Model 19 4" or 2.5" in .357 Mag.

2. My Model 28 S&W in 4", .357 Mag.

3. My Model 1917 S&W, in .45 ACP.

4. My Kahr K9, in 9mm.

5. My Beretta 92, in 9mm.

I also just got (yesterday) a used Model 042 Smith & Wesson, which I fired last night, and which I've started carrying. It replaces the Taurus TP-22 which I carried for several years.

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

Since this is the handgun board so I guess you are referring to handguns. Of my pistols I would rely on my WWII Browning HP, but I really rely upon my Lefever. Two triggers, two firing pins, two everything.

My two in order would be my 1)custom SS Colt 1911 with 4 fully loaded mags and then my 2)HK USP both in .45 ACP with 3 mags. I firmly believe in the stopping power of the .45.
