Which Glock should be my first Glock?

Glock 21 Try one out and see how it feels. If the grip is too wide try the original Glock....the Glock 17.

The Glock 21 is just too big for my hand. I had to carry an issue MDL 22 for several years, but the gun wasn't accurate. If I had to pick one Glock, it would be a MDL 23. I had one for a while, and it was super accurate. Now that I can carry what I want, my choice is a Kimber.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Glock 18! (that's the fully auto full sized 9mm). That'd be my first choice.

Well, assuming that's not an option: the 17 was the classic, but I'd go with the 19 or 23 (the 23 being my favorite). Great all around guns, and most often the answer to the "If you could only have one gun" question on TFL.
