Which frame material do you prefer on your semi's...Aluminum...Steel or Polymer ??

The classic Sigs including the P220 and P226 are aluminum alloy frames, and yes they do feel and shoot very well. However, as much as I prefer Sig over any other guns, I agree that the alloy frame easily scratches and is not very durable as a steel or polymer frame.

Plastic is generally cheaper but not when it comes to HKs. Love my Hk but HK should lower their prices because polymer reduces their costs.

All steel guns feel better. The extra mass of steel guns help to reduce recoil.

This mass, and the cold, solid feel of steel makes them seem more substantial, and makes them "feel" more reliable.

There's nothing like the feel of a solid, precision-machined, mechanical device made of steel.

My Ruger GP100 makes me love stainless steel...but then my Ruger P97 makes me love polymer...and my SIG P226 makes me love alloy....

I would be hard-pressed to wear out any of these. All three have there +'s and -'s.

No losers here.
