Which carry pistol?

HK P7M8

Good suggestions here. The P7M8's I have (three) heat up at the range after about a box and a half of ammo, shooting rapid fire. (about 75 rounds or so). This should not be a concern for concealed carry, so don't worry about it.

Weight of a P7: To me its not heavy as I am use to carrying all steel firearms, also its very slim and concealable. In a good holster its a very nice carry weapon. Reliable, accurate and safe. Great trigger too.

I think the USP's are great pistols. I just think the P7 is an extraordinary pistol.

I agree with Sundance, Any of the Kahr pistols will work well. Their K9 or K40 are as small as most 380's! Their micro series are smaller still. They also offer polymer versions. All I know is my K9 is a very concealable, accurate, high quality gun that I have a lot of confidence in.

I would also strongly recommend any of the Kahrs or even a Keltec P32 (if you would consider a mousegun). When they first came out I bought a Glock 27 thinking it would be a nice small CCW. Not true, its a fat little booger. I have since switched to a Kahr MK9 or a Keltec P32 for CCW. I am very pleased with both, good shooters, and no problems, completely reliable. They effectively put the concealed back in CCW. :)

Hard to find a person with bad things to say about Kahr. Some unfortunate soles have been unlucky with Keltec though.

If you're looking for a small, concealable 9mm that has excellent fit and finish, carries 10 rounds on board, and practically disappears in an IWB holster, I would suggest the Glock 26. That is what I carry when I worry about having to conceal a gun under light clothing (such as in hot weather). It's also a great "grab and go" gun, you can stick it in the pocket of a jacket with an extra mag and it will conceal perfectly. IMHO, it's the best concealment piece out there.

I would go with the P7. I carry one IWB in the Wild Bills Extreme Heat(specifically made for the P7 series) with a double thick 1.5" Wild Bills belt. The P7 is so comfortable to carry sometimes I forget that I'm wearing it. Heating is not and issue with carry since you won't ever be required to fire that many rounds in a self defence situation. Most people carry the loaded gun plus a back up magazine or two. Even if you had to use all three magazines that would be 25 rounds; just enough to warm up the P7. It is a great addition to any gun collection too. I love the P7 also because it is very fast into action, very accurate and is easy to rapid fire accurately while point shooting.

As the situation warrents.

Have other stuff I can carry but even the first four are a bit much. While I love to shoot, the more guns you carry the more difficult it is to remain proficient with each individual weapon. Life is such a chore :D
