Which 9mm Auto Would You Consider The Best All Around Concealed Carry Gun?

Which would offer the best reliablity, most accurate, most comfortable to conceal and shoot well, etc.

I've also posted the same question reguarding revolvers in the revolver forum because I am searching for the best concealed carry gun that I can find.

Thanks,

If there were one right answer, we would all agree.

Question: are you willing to change the way you dress in order to carry? If so, no reason not to carry a full-size pistol. You'll need a QUALITY IWB holster (like a Milt Sparks Versa-Max) and a stiff, quality gunbelt to do that comfortably.

The only problem is you have to be able to dress so folks never seen the side & back of your belt. Blazers, sport coats, sweaters, vests, untucked shirts (even t-shirts) all work. A tucked-in dress shirt with nothing over it does not work.

If you are willing to carry full-sized, then the choices are too numerous to discuss. I like the BHP 'cuz I like SA cocked & locked. And it is flat & easy to carry.

If you're willing to change your dress so you can carry IWB, and you are a cheapskate like me, then a compact 9mm might be best. They can carry OK in cheaper holster/belt combos. Your choices include mini-Glocks, Kahr's and Kel-Tec P-11. Some bigger people that dress in pants with large pockets can carry these in a pocket holster. I can't.

If you can't change the way you dress, then you might be able to carry a compact 9mm in Thunderware or equivalent "pubic pouch", or Pager Pal "all the way inside the belt".

Or you're stuck with a mouse gun in a pocket holster. Sorry, no more 9mm. .32 or under. You can carry that setup anywhere you can wear pants. Kel-Tec P-32 or Beretta Tomcat/Jetfire, NAA Guardian, Seacamp, etc.

HK P7M8, assuming you are made of money. Maybe a CZ-75 PCR if you aren't.

This pretty much nails it. I'd add that the regular CZ-75B Compact is like the PCR but it's all steel and has a manual safety.

Guys, I currently have a Ruger P95 and it is way too big for me to conceal. I would not have a problem with most of the guns mentioned, as far as size goes, during the colder months, but we have shirt-sleeve weather here for about 9 months out of the year.

I guess that maybe I am asking for the impossible, but I want a gun that is at least 9mm that I won't leave at home because of its size.

I have looked at the Kel-Tek and I'm not sure that I could get used to the trigger. I am thinking also about the Kahr, but maybe a double action would be better for me because I'm kinda used to the Ruger.

I really like the HK P7M8, but in all practically, I'd probably give the Glock 26 the final vote.

I had a Kahr K9 at one time. Nice gun, but it was just damn heavy for a little pistol. Also, my particular specimen was not completely reliable despite 2 visits back to the factory.
