Which 454 casull?

I was with Schmit when he shot the Raging Bull against his own FA, and I shot 'em, too. I agree. The DA designs put all the recoil back into you hand/wrist/arm, whereas the "plowhandle" grip allows the gun to roll in one's hand, absorbing some of the energy. It doesn't make for as fast a follow-up shot, but one can learn to cock and shoot an SA revovler fast if one wishes too. Of course, with a caliber as heavy as .454C, "fast" becomes a relative term.

Brad,

First, welcome abourd TFL. Alway like to see new members.

Now... HEY... Mine has the abomination Rubber grip! While I agree that it isn't a "true" SA Grip... neither is it a DA Grip. Mine still "rolls" in my hand (though I'm sure not as much as you "plastic" ;) grip.)

Chris,

Sounds great. I'll look forward to that. Didn't know you liked .45ACP. I thought you were more into .40S&W and .357Sig. Or are you just trying to collect one of every model Glock? :)

>Orrrrrrr, is that me hiding in the bushes at your

I'm glad we cleared that one up. I thought I was going crazy or something. Oh well, as long as the voices in my head are talking about good things I'm OK. :)

Dammit Joe, the voices must have been in my head!!...

You can now take your pick, or fire both my new G30 and my new G21. I couldn't decide which I wanted to add to my collection first so I got both today. Dang voices wouldn't stop!! :D

FWIW, I'm not really a single caliber devotee. I do favor the .357SIG over the .40 but I have always tried to keep a .45 or two. I had two SIG P220 .45's (and a P229) until recently but I sold them just before we went to Wolf Creek. In fact I sold all three of my SIG's to buy the Glock G30 and G21.

Let me know when you want to get together and try them out. :D

Only five more Glocks to go to complete my wish list, unless they make a .357SIG version of the G35. I *NEED* a G32C, G36, G17, G19 and G26. Donations to the Glock fund will gladly be accepted. :D

Oh yeah, since my last post was completely off topic for this thread... :o

I actually went out today looking to buy a .454 and one Glock. The thing is, I really can't decide which .454 to get!! The more I look, the more neutral I become between the two.

Ok, I know! Before anyone fires off with, "Well, when you couldn't decide which Glock .45 to get, you bought both...", let me say that, ...well, I don't know what to say. :o Glocks make me do strange things. I guess the .454's just don't have the same effect on me. :)

Anyway, until I can either do more shooting with both guns or run across a really good, decision swaying deal I guess I'll just want one for a while. Something in my mind tells me that I will end up with a Hawk. DaHaMac, is that you outside my window? :D Stop it!! I'm broke again!!!

:eek:You're worse than me with this stuff! :D I got out on the bike yesterday and rode to 6 different shops around Atlanta (about 200 miles of riding) but I somehow managed to keep my wallet in my pocket. Amazing self control considering some of the things I ran across. :) Congratulations on the new additions. That -might- stop those voices for a week or two.

If I remember correctly, you're working next weekend so how about Saturday the 17th at Advanced?

You keep one of those lists too? I have one I carry in my wallet to remind me of what I'm in the market for. Problem is, the size of the paper I have to use to write them on keeps getting bigger all the time. :)
