Just one thing you may want to consider, I don't know where you are hunting but where I do the law requires that the pistol have a barrel length of 6" or greater if you have it in your possesion while hunting. It is also required that the gun fires a bullet that has a certain amount of energy at so many yards. The 44Mag, 45LC, or 454 Casull can all easily meet the energy requirement. You may want to check proclomations where you are hunting. Buy the way I have a Colt Anconda, (it's a 44 MAG if you didn't know) I love the thing. It came with an excellent out of the box trigger and is capable of better accuracy than I am. The Ruger Super Redhawk is also excellent although I also would fix the trigger if I bought one.
