Which .40 cal?

See if you can locate a Browning Hi-Power in .40 before you buy anything else. You just might be pleasantly surprised. Mine has become my primary competition (pins and plates) as well as my large frame carry gun.

My answer:

Glock 23 with decent ammo. Mine has tritium sights and shoots POA every time. Wish I had some hi-caps though......

Woody

I've tried, and can recommend the following .40 pistols:

BHP
S&W .40 TSW
CZ40B

I tried for over 1000 rounds, but never liked, a Glock 22. My first, and probably last Glock. To each his/her own.

CZ 40B ... Was designed for Colt in a joint effort with CZ (Colt's Z-40).

When Colt got into financial trouble, the project was dropped after a short production run.

The Colt version of the same gun goes for about $900 if you can find it. CZ 40B is about $300.

The CZ 75B in 40 SW wouldn't be a bad choice either ... CZ 75B was one of Gun and Ammo's top ten gun's of the millennium.

Couldn't go wrong with either. Great value, quality, and accuracy.

I only have one .40 caliber handgun, my Glock 20. I have heard that the Whitness 10mm is also a good .40 caliber handgun.:p :D
