Which .357 snub?

Mr. Pitiful - I once bought a K-frame .357 Ladysmith Model 65LS because I liked the fully shrouded ejector rod over the regular Model 65 and also liked the matte stainless finish. Two points I considered on the Ladysmith logo are a: Smith and Wesson will replace the sideplate with one without the logo (for a fee, of course) and b: it seemed to me that if people were seeing the logo on the gun, then something wasn't being done right. Anyone who might see the logo would be seeing it briefly and rapidly and probably would have more important things on their mind and probably wouldn't be someone whose opinion of me meant very much anyway. Other than that, all things being in order, no one should see it but me. At least that's how it seemed to me. I never had SW replace the sideplate. Heck, it's just like having a feminine name on a nice boat. "Things of beauty, grace, and speed are offered referred to by feminine names." (The Little Rascals, circa 1930 something.) I traded that Ladysmith on something or other and it's one I have regretted letting go. Oh well.

I personally prefer the Ruger SP 101. Mine has given me no problems, and the accuracy for a 2.25" is quite impressive. I also like the factory grips--they fit my hand well.

I bought the same lady 60LS...great gun. I really dont care what it says on the side....I look at it this way. 2 kinds of people are gonna see my gun...those who are my friends and shooting buddies..they just see it as a J frame 357...all is good. The other people will not be looking at the sideplates..but rather down the barrel. I dont think at that point Ill get a "Hey, thats a Ladies gun...isnt it?" Its just a great gun....Shoot well
