Another option is to have a 2011 in .357 Sig. They are doublestack 1911s that do work well with shorter cartridges like .40 so they should also work with .357 Sig.

Course of action would be:

1) start with a 2011 .40 such as the STI Edge, then get a .357 barrel fitted

or

2) get one custom made from someone who specializes in 2011s like Brazos Custom or SVI Infinity

You'd get double stack .357 firepower coupled with a fine 1911 single action trigger which is as good as it gets.
