This may be unethical but it worked!

Way past unethical-down right dirty, below the belt tactic. Since learning of your devious, under-handed but brilliant stratagem, I've been conferring with my local pusher. I didn't know you could buy a Cooper for $150.00...

Oh my gosh, how do I choose? Went to a couple shops today and looked at some Savages and a couple CZs. I would really like to get the CZ 453 with the single set trigger. If you haven't felt that new trigger you really should. You cock it and push the trigger forward and then it has the slightest pull. Really a hair trigger. Its way out of my price range, but wow it's nice.

Then he showed me a used 452 Military Trainer that had a scope on it. Granted it was just a cheap CenterPoint scope on it. He has the rear sight but not the front site. He was asking $225 for it. Do you think that would be a good price or if I could talk him down? I am not really interested in the scope so it is not much of a selling point for me.

I have a Savage Mark II GL and I have had nothing but fun with it. Its a bolt action which does save ammo vs a semi-auto...like my pops. He has a 702 Plinkster and has been known to rip through a mag in no time. While its fun, I find he spends more time reloading than shooting.

Now, my gun was drilled and tapped. I believe it takes the Weaver #24 mounts.

I am what some might call a n00b when it comes to firearms. But, I do like the Accutrigger on my rifle. I've never had a problem or any sort of malfunction (gun or shooter related). It does seem to have a light trigger pull vs other guns I've shot. All around, its a good gun and I have loads of fun with it every weekend. Its easy to clean and had never let me down. I'm close to, if not just over, 1000 rounds thru my gun. The only trouble I've had was with a bad batch of ammo that gave me about 8 duds out of a box of 50. (Note: Stay away from Rem thunderbolt and sub-sonic).

I'm sure I could get better groups if I were to get some match ammo rather than the 550 box of Rem. Minus a flyer or two and a couple pulls, I can pretty much cut the center our of a 1" target at 50 yards. I've shot it out to 200 yards and got 5 shots inside the 10 ring and another 7 in the 9 and the rest filled the 8 ring. All were with in 5.5" (stupid wind!!). So all in all, pretty accurate gun.
