Which 1911 in 9MM

Kimber Pro Carry 9mm

I have a Kimber Pro Carry Commander which is very nice and since it is lighter, the 9mm is very pleasant to shoot.

Colt Series 70 in 9mm, no question for me. 5,000 rounds minimum through mine and not one, one, failure to feed or eject, regardless of ammunition used. Apparently it just needs to say '9mm Parabellum' on the box.

Not what you asked about, but consider this...

I like the Kimber Pro Carry II

Very nice to shoot and a great carry size. If that is what you are interested in...

It is a one horse race and the race isn't close. The Range Officer 9mm beats anyone that comes anywhere near the price.
That Range Officer has one hellofa reputation herebouts...Rod

Colt has been having quality control issues in the last few years and I have heard from several experts and professionals that they will be going out of business. Not a good sign if you want free warranty work

I've bought a couple colts in the last few years and hope to buy a couple more. Don't worry about the QC I've not had a single issue with them. If anything the current crop of Colts is superior to earlier ones.

Colt had serious QC problems in the 80s due to a strike; Management was assembling the guns and the results were, shall we say...pretty pathetic.

I like my Colt and my Kimbers and Rock Island. My RO is a good 9mm won't go wrong there. Well built very tight from factory good bang for your buck.
