Which 1911 for duty?

Kimber went with a grip activated firing pin safety. Some folks state they have problems and others state no problems at all.

Check out 1911forum.com under the Kimber section. They go into a bit more detail towards the pros and cons.

I own the series 1. Just plain and simple. No extra moving parts to break.

Off topic...I see that you are in Dallas. Houston PD right now is in a hiring frenzy. They need officers BAD!!! If you don't mind moving, give HPD a try.
