Which 10mm?

After owning a G20SF for a number of years now,
the next on the list is the G40 longslide.

After that maybe a RIA with a longslide kit,
or an AMT Javalina Longslide...
or the Para-Ord Super Hawg


Why a Longslide?? multiple reasons...
extra FPS, better balance, longer sighting radius gives better precision,
the LOOK...and you can also add a Comp that makes it even longer

Granted, my G20SF is pretty much strictly a hunting pistol,
and so would the rest be...maybe a little pistol competition fun...

You can engineer the 20 to use a 6" barrel BUT the 40 comes predrilled and tapped for an optics mount--that's why I would consider one. But I've seen the para 10 elite hunter and handled it (unfortunately couldn't fire it) and it's pretty much my idea of what a 10 hunter should be--it appears the sig is similar though I haven't seen one other than in perpetual "out of stock" at every on-line source.

What do you guys that own the Rock Island 10mms think of them? Are they built solid? Accurate?

I have a Glock 20 and it's a great gun but I just don't shoot (any) Glocks well. I would like to try a RIA in 10mm. Maybe I'd do better with a 1911 style gun. If I had the money I'd get the Sig though.

I like the Witness line. My 1st choice would be a Witness polymer or Witness Hunter. Second choice would be the Glock in 10mm.

Glock 20, affordable, reliable, holds 15+ rds.
When Sig decides to make the 227 in 10mm I bet that will be nice but the 220 just dosent make a lot of sense when you could just go 1911 if you want single stack, limited capacity but great trigger.

WanderDude nailed it. Get one of the Glock 10mms.

Whenever Sig decides to offer a 10mm P227, then you'll have a reputable option to choose in a stainless steel, hi-cap 10mm, with DA/SA mode.
