Where Is The Best Place(s) To Buy A Gun Online?

Hello all, I have been doing some research and noticed that there are some online web pages that sell guns (often at a great price)....the way I understand how this works -- I buy the guy on the web page, they ship it to a store that will agree to accept the shipment, and then that store gets $20-$40 (usually) on top of the price.

I was wondering if anyone out there had a web page(s) that they could offer -- a page that they know can be trusted, and ideally, a page that offers very good discounts on pistols.

Any information that can be offered would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Have a Merry Christmas!

I've had good luck with cdnninvestments. They don't have as big of selection on handguns but they've had the best prices anywhere i've seen for what they do carry.

Buds has great prices and I have heard lots of good things about them, although I have never actually ordered from them...I've bought my recent guns used and have used Buds to compare prices on a new model

Places I've had a good experience include (in no particular order):

Jets
Buds
Summit Guns
Aim Surplus
Atlantic Firearms
Gun Broker (just read descriptions closely and look at feedback)

online guns

i try to buy out of state to save the sales tax. look for free shipping also. with that said, i buy accessories only online as i want to feel and touch any gun i buy. i dont feel right looking at the gun at a local dealer, then buying online as i want to support my dealer and the local economy. just my .02 worth.

Personally I use Bud's as a point of comparison, although I haven't purchased from them. I know most of their prices are highly competitive, and make a good starting point if I want to see if something is available for slightly less. I have purchased from grabagun.com(they had the exact model I wanted while buds did not), and while they charge a flat fee for shipping unlike buds free shipping, they also don't pass on the CC fees, so depending on the model and how you're paying they can come out ahead. On a service note, they responded to inquires very promptly and got my order shipped quickly.

But sooner or later I know I'll probably end up buying from most of the previously listed places, as inventory and prices fluctuate they all have good deals.

there was a comment earlier about accessories -- can those be shipped directly to a house? or must those also go to a FFL?
Thanks!!

Gunbroker.com and take your pick of who has the best price for what particular firearm you're looking for and look at their past feedback.

Another satisfied Gunbroker.com fan here, . . . bought and sold on their site, . . . so far no problems at all.

May God bless,
Dwight

I like used guns. Try running a local shopper ad for what you want, and get early copies from distro boxes.

Example... 98% S&W 27 made 1980 for $300.. I kept the seller on the phone while I drove 19 miles in snow to prevent anyone else from getting through.

Accessories can be shipped to home; the only things that have to go to FFLs are firearms.

I have ordered many firearms through CDNN, all with good experiences. But CDNN is primarily a dealer of closeout items or "odd lots;" they don't have a standard inventory that gets maintained over time. Same with AIM Surplus, and I've had good luck with them.

Never ordered firearms from Cheaperthandirt, but have ordered many accessories and have all had good experiences. And I am about a few days away from placing my first firearm order with them.

I also buy a lot off Gunbroker and it's generally pretty good if you follow the basic common sense rules of dealing with online auction sites.

Simpson Ltd. is 45 min from my house. They have what is arguably the largest stock of Lugers in the nation and produce a "catalog" just for their Lugers.

Finding a deal there isn't always easy, but I did buy a S&W 67 there once.

I've had good luck with Gunbrokers.com. Bought 3 long guns, 1 handgun over the past year or so.

Simple smooth transaction and you deal directly with the seller & normally get your item in 2 days.

Be aware that most dealers charge a 3-5% CC fee.
