When/how did guns become "evil"?

Here is another sad Fact of Life, back in the 40's and 50's if you saw a child in the "General Store" you would more then Likely say HI! and ruffle the Kids hair..... think to the last time you did that in todays Society to a child you didn't know. even if your an old Person I bet you don't go near kids because of the "Child Abuse" Issue.

As to guns being Evil, I think that came out in the Early 60's as best that I can figure. before that you still had the happy Kids going to school and huntingthier way home.

PROUD TO BE CANADIAN

Don't look now but more than guns are considered "evil" by the establishment. Let's add to the list tobacco (never mind that it is a legal substance which is heavily taxed) and SUV's (they destroy resources and guzzle gas). In the future we will see added to the list ammunition (because it contains lead and polutes the environment), fast food (lots of fat and calories), booze (if you go after fast foods, you gotta go after booze), and last of all snack foods.

Theologians call this "selective depravity" and is typical of religions of the past. There has always been a tendency on the part of cultic religions to assume matter is inherently evil. What you see going on now is just the latest version. What is different now is that theology presuppositions are now written into law.
