They're hard to beat for hitting the target when you have a man behind the trigger who understands his fundamentals. In this case I think we have a winner on both counts. Very nice shooting.

Thanks, but I'm really not a marksman, yet.

Guys like this are real marksmen!

EDITED: " 5 shots in :10 seconds done 2x, 25 yards, one handed,"

It's a Weaver #307

They don't make them anymore, but there are a few still on the market.

They're for the non-drilled and tapped S&W's.

You can take most any good 1911 gun and spend 2500.00 on it and it'll be a tack driver. Most that you buy in the 700.00 range like the 686 revolver won't come close to the revolver in accuracy without major work.

Here's a M41 target from when I was practicing.

Red bullseye is 1.5"

I was spraying it with an inexpensive red dot and cheap ammo.

3miss.JPG3 misses at 15ft. All shoots should be in inner box at least. 2 inside, 2 small whole, 1 slip. Working on punching out each inner club, spade, etc.

Just bought a couple of Ruger MKII target models, and from a rest both of them at 50 yds great shooters.

Both have the VQ trigger systems, so I'm moving out the M41 to pay for both MKII's.

All I need to be able to do is consistently shoot about a 5" group, standing and using two hands.

They'll both do that if I'm able to hold steady.

Maybe not my best ever but at 58 years old this target is getting hung up on the wall in the gun room. I shot about 75 rounds at 25 yards and was doing pretty good tonight. I hung up a fresh target and ran it back out to 25 yards and shot this group offhand with a two hand hold I packed up and went home didn't want to spoil the moment. Felt like I was 25 again.
