Whats your SHTF weapon.

I really don't believe that a SHTF situation is ever going to happen but for the fun of fit I thought I would post this I thought I would would get a couple of reply's.

Pistol wise, my steyr M40. If I had to, my 22/45 would be just fine with me.

Rifle wise, Betty my M1A of course. But if I'm on the run, then my Ruger 10/22 with a brick of 500 .22LR's would probably be the choice.

Myself , a Colt AR dissipator with 6 mag assualt vest, my wife is Mossberg 590. I have pistols, but in a SHTF situation, I dont think we have time, otherwise myself Browning Hi-power, Wife 's Sig 228...

My SHTF rifle is my rem 700 in 270. It takes me about 10minutes to get in the mtns and then it is a shot that a bolt gun can handle. pistol is my G23, my wife will carry a 629 and her rifle will be a marlin 45/70. Of course we will liberate a few automatic weapons along the way (hopefully).

Well sheesh! I dunno. It depends on what flavor S actually HTF. Enemy paratroopers-well, I'd probably break out the Rem. 700 Sendero 300WM and start popping skulls midair. If close-in, probably my G30. Somewhere in the middle, I've got a nice Benelli Nova to use as a stop-gap. Of course, the National Guard armory is about 100 yards away from my residence so maybe I'll just head over there and see what they have to offer. :)

Any ol' rifle would do...

to help me 'go shopping' for a grenade launcher and a "mixed fruit salad'' (I saw "Dogs of War") of projectiles, including flechettes:p  and HE, WP.:D
That and a few Claymores, = MOLAN LABE!

Whats your SHTF weapon?

Without a doubt: The grey matter between my ears! :D

Beyond that, everything else is a tool (and available when I properly utilize Weapon One).

My SHTF weapon would be a pack of baby wipes the quilted ones they are much more absorbent. If the fan blades are removable then wash them in the sink with hot soppy water. Sanitize with Lysol when finished. To prevent a SHTF situation in the first place, remove your fans from the bathroom. This question comes up a lot here. I don’t understand why it seems pretty obvious.

The Mauser M-48 for long range, with as much ammo as I can carry. As a side arm my Ruger Mark-II with a brick of ammo. Two guns is about as much as anyone can carry.

GnL: well, that's why I have spare guns. Always room for more at the party. How are you at forming veggies or corn? Our retreat has a patch...about 150 acres.

The little woman will have a AR-180 with 20-30 round mags 2000 extra SS109's, her Glock 19 with 10-15 round mags. An old Jeep Grand Wagoner following me to the same cabin, with the dogs. I dont think this will ever happen but we still go to the cabin on the weekends the dogs love it.
