Whats your full power battle Survival Rifle?

Within the confines of the OP question as asked, & just for fun as this whole thing is getting weirder & weirder!

Its not the hardware, as long as it is accurate & dependable. It is the deployment & use of whatever hardware you have available.

Living off the land with just what I could carry? M38 Swedish Mauser. Not an overly heavy rifle, rugged enough, accurate. But the round would be the final factor. Extremely low recoil, can reach out far enough and the rounds are light. I could carry a lot more of 6.5x55 compared to my 30-06 for the same weight and still be able to kill any game animal I'd come across.

well if I was surviving in the wilderness and I had to live off buffalo, elk and moose then I would love nothing more than a 1903 but they are hard to come buy anymore, expensive, and the ammo is expensive. from a preparation phase, an enfield or mosin 91/30 would be much easier to get ahold of, way cheaper and mosin ammo is cheap and 303 brit ammo is moderate but acceptable. all three of these will kill anything in north america if you do your part. so
mosin cheapest option for stockpiling
enfield moderate pricing but still acceptable
springfield most expensive option but the best choice.

Survival...zombie invasion...SHTF? This thread will get locked quick!

But while I'm here.... My Saiga .223 and ten 30 rounds mags will work just fine.

If it were me I would grab my plate carrier with level IIIA ballistic plates and my galil with 6 magazines. Along with 40 S&W semi automatic with 4 15 round mags as well as my bug out bag with food and ammo and run for my secluded ranch. Its about 2 days away and it has stored food and water as well as having wildlife for food and a well for water. And i would ride out whatever happened. Picking my girlfriend up along the way cause i wouldn't leave her behind.

I'm curious.
Those that are gunned up for large animals, such as Moose, bear & so on.
How are you going to utilize & preserve such large & bulky amounts of meat?

If it's only 4 leged criters and feeding yourself any bolt gun in 3006 or 270 would work great . If you also have to worry about a bunch of 2 leged varmints ,you will wish you had a good semi in .308 .;
The post very clearly says high power BATTLE Survival rifle ,
To me this means you will need to consider being in a Battle with a single or multiple people who are out to kill you .And you will need to hunt to feed yourself.

I'm super partial to my M14, but would take two different rifle platforms with me if I had to leave quickly. My M14 and my AK.:)

Does not exactly answer the question but... The last time I went into battle and survived I had a C.A.G. 3.

Carrier Air Group 3 - With the air, sea, and land power we were capable of projecting in the pursuit of obtaining our nations political and strategic goals we were the ones throwing the S at The Fan.

Chaz88 , all in all that's the best answer so far. And you got free room, board, and clothes and a paycheck too .

Wog Potter brought up a good point.
It would be a good Idea to have some small traps, you could use them to catch small game to live off of without using up your amunition.

What force am I up against ?

Vague question . Home invasion ? Self defense ? . If its an enemy invasion ,there is strength in numbers . One guy with a rifle is no match against an army. Best to fear God and pray hard.

My go to rifle is a 16" marlin 30-30. Light weight with enough power for anything I will encounter in the south. No need to burn up limited ammo with an auto.
Unless the Zombies come out.
