Whats your full power battle Survival Rifle?

Mine is a 30-06 bolt-action 1903a3 with strippers in bando,s all stock ,but loaded with 165 sp bt,s. I like the robustness and accuracy of a DCM Legal Match rifle. 1"M.O.A accurate with standard peep sites. The 06 can carry the mail for protection and food. Ar,s and Ak,s are not full power and Fal,s and M1,s ,M1A1,s waste to much ammo, weight to haul around. All the ammo you have is what you can carry. For me its 150rds of 30-06. You are on your own with no resupply. If you live longer than your ammo supply feel lucky. You survived!

still unsure of seriousness, but since i enjoy such things, and our tastes are similar, my m1.

in a true 'survival' situation though, a 223 is probably enough, yet even then an autoloader can be finicky, i'd probably go with my 84c marlin in .357

I think if I had to "get the hell out in a hurry", my first choice would be to grab my savage 270 Win. If all hell is breaking loose, you can always bust into any Walmart or sport store and they will have 270 ammo. 130's or 150's, doesn't really matter. Both will handle 2 and four legged predators easily. Also, when your belly gets empty, it will take down any game animal in North America. Your choice of the 06 is a good one as well.

My Ruger PC9 is my first weapon of choice if the SHTF... a practically indestructible and reliable, ruggedly built carbine built to military specs as a combat weapon.

The range may be a bit limited, but in a self-and home-defense scenario it is an amazing rifle. A supply of 20- and 30-round magazines to go with it, too.

I'm not sure exactly what a "full power battle Survival Rifle" actually is, so its hard to give a good answer.
What am I surviving, for how long, where all would have an effect on my choice so it's too vague to really answer meaningfully.
Can you clarify a bit?

My CMMG .308 18 inch custom rifle or my Armalite AR10. Both have proved to be 100% relieable and able to take any game in North America .I hate this survival senerio ,but since you may be faced with multiple threats at short or long distance a scoped high cap high power Semi auto in a proven round such as the .308 / 7.62x51 would be my choice . If it was hunting only it would be a bolt gun in .308 or 3006 ,or 338 Win Mag .

Survival where?
In the zombie apocalypse it will be my ar15 and a whatever 9mm pistol I feel like grabbing at the time.
In BFE Alaska it will be my model 70 in 300 win mag and my 629-1 in 44 mag.

I live just far enough out that I won't leave where I'm at. If I need to get home whatever handgun I happen to be carrying will do and I really want an SKS Paratrooper model.

"Full power" would be something like a 308 or 30/06 or similar rifle.
"Battle rifle" is a whole nuther criteria. I have a couple of 03A3's and some stirppers but my choice of a full power rifle would be a scoped .308-more of a marksman's (sniper) rifle. I could carry the fight to the enemy much further than most could return accurate fire with that type of rifle. Actually, I have some equipment stored in a spot away from my house that includes a PC9, a couple of AR types, a heavy barrel long range rifle, and various caliber hunting type rifles.

I,m not talking a ring of Indians running around your wagon train or what you think is safe in your home. But heading for deep woods or mountian wilderness with only the gear you can carry to make it. Basic survival gear ,knive ,compass, firestarters , space blanket, snare& small fishing gear lines and hooks, canteen& pure water system. So you had to go into the back country for 2-3 months intill the problem ended with a natural disaster or terrorist attack. Your home and citys not safe. On foot with no auto,s,trucks.

I've got a spare 16" rifle from an Iowa-class battleship mounted in my attic. I can develop enfilading fire upon anyone within ten miles.

My wife, however, is not thrilled about lugging and ramming the shells and powder bags.

Well without a team of people you'll likely die anyway but if I ever found myself in such a condition I'd want an M1 Garand. I think it's about the best combination hunting, combat type rifle ever made

Think I'll just wait "it" [whatever the heck it is] out here at home. Wood heat / wood cookin'/ deer in the back yard/ and my own bed! That way I can leave them all in the safe [no pesky electric lock] and use what ever one suits my fancy or the situation.

I once heard a story of a guy that spent several years surviving in remote mountain wilderness, sometimes apparently hiding out in caves for months at a time. Most photos of this guy I saw ,had him carrying what seemed to be an AK47. This guy had some of the worlds most powerful armies looking for him.
Forget his name, Osama something or other.

^^^^^

That guy also had lots of money and lots of followers to bring things to him. Not a true survivalist in the sense most people think of, but did , manage to survive. For a while....
