Those I have owned (Swedish M38, Polish M44, M1898 Krag, SKS)
And those I have shot frequently (SMLE, 1909 Argentine Mauser, M1 Carbine, M1903, M1917
I would have to say that it's a tie between my Garand and the M96 Swede.
I like the swede for the accuracy, light recoil, and good looks. My father carried an M1 in Korea, so it has a bit of personal history for me, and it also has that "ping" that always puts a grin on my face
