What's wrong with her grip?

Pretty girl, I wouldn't correct her too much. I agree with the 3 things everyone else is seeing, but its hard to tell but it looks as though she is dipping her chin to get her eye on the sights rather than raising the pistol to meet her eyes, maybe just a chin up a bit. Pretty girl though, oh did I say that again:rolleyes: Who knows maybe she is a very good shot and we are being had.

No, it isn't. "Thumb over" or "Grip of Agony" is a poor technique to practice with any handgun.
You guys are gonna have to take it up with Jerry Miculek since that's who advocated it for shooting small revolvers. ;)

Here's the quote:

Jerry Miculek said:
Now we talked about grip technique of the full size revolvers. You noticed the stocks are rather large. We’re going over to one that is totally different. This is a j-frame. The j-frame revolver is different because of the size limitations of the stock. So what we do to correct that is we’re going to change the placement of the thumb on the non-firing hand. We’re going to come up and grab the backstrap of the firing hand. Notice that these two fingers are pinching the revolver down into the grip of the firing hand and it gives a lot better consistency from shot-to-shot this way.

And here are Jerry's hands holding a revolver in "Thumb Over" or "The Grip of Agony".

I saw that clip and went off to the range to practice that grip with my J-frame Model 36. It worked ok, but honestly, I didn't see any difference in terms of accuracy or perceived recoil between that grip and my standard "locked thumbs, offhand over shooting hand thumb" grip. So, after a few dozen rounds I went back to using that on the J as I do with the rest of my revolvers. Of course, Jerry being Jerry, he might have figured out a 2% advantage using that grip that I, in my relative ineptness, can't appreciate. He's the expert, I'm just a duffer compared to him.

Pretty girl. That grip looks like it will be very effective. Around your throat, when she finds out you posted her pic on the internet. Good luck with that one my friend. ;)
