Whats the quickest sight practical for carry?

For the quickest sights, look at what gets used in the games where fast accurate shooting is required. IDPA, and IPSC Limited and Limited 10. The dominant sights are Bo-Mars, Bo-Mar clones, fixed sights that give a Bo-Mar sight picture such as Heinies, and Novaks.

Tritium dots are used by some, not by others. Ashley's are used, but in no where near the numbers of the others, nor are they routinely used by the top shooters.
 
I've sent my slide (SIG P229) to Ashley for a set of the BIg Dots.

They come highly recommended by a lot of folks and several people that I shoot with love 'em.

Andy Stanford (Options for Personal Security) speaks highly of them in his Surgical Speed Shooting class, has them on all of his defensive handguns, and recommends them in his Surgical Speed Shooting book.
 
For pure speed Ashleys, hands down.

Different sights for different purposes

My G26, is my carry pistol, it has ashley big dot pro express 24/7 model. Pure speed, none better out to 15 yards.

My G19, some carry, some range shooting, it has a set of CGR race cut Heinie slant pros. still fast, but a liitle more accurate at longer distances.

My G17, stictly target and GSSF, wears a set of Bo-mar adjustables.
