What's the big deal about CZ??

Your experience with the 85 Combat differs greatly from mine.
Yes it does, but understand I'm not complaining - just offering my experience. I think they're a fair value. Mine was built in 1993, and it does seem like they've improved. But in MA, you can't get ones newer than 1998 and 85C's were rare. I liked it enough to send it off for a trigger job, but the SIG (not usually considered a great IDPA choice) shoots more accurately every time I compare them.

Does yours have a distinct two-stage pull? I'm wondering if they come that way or it was tuned in by Mr. Jacobson, and don't remember what it was like before.

Well, J. LaRue, if you "czech" out what everybody has to say about them on this and other boards, you'll get the picture.

(Corny) :D

Actually, it was my Thunder 380 that talked me into buying my CZ-75 PCR. I had nothing to do with it.

Gunsmith Cats!

Well, if you're a real fan of the Gunsmith Cats manga, you'll notice that the main character (female, I'll add) usually prefers her "old version" CZ75. And Rally is one person you want to stay on good terms with! :D

You ask a good question----I've never been impressed enough to plunk my money down on one---even though all I ever hear is good things about them.

And NO---I don't own any Ruger pistols anymore.

I have a Colt--a Smith---and a Beretta and don't have any plans to buy anymore pistols---although a 92 FS has been looking very appealing lately.

Hello. I think they're pretty darned good firearms. I admire things that work; they work. Paid far too much for my first Pre-B CZ75 in the early '80s. Still shooting it today on the same, original parts. Modified it a bit by bobbing the hammer and having Novak sights added, refinishing the slide, and hardchroming the bbl. Stocks are CZ factory wood. As the 15 yard target shows, it shoots plenty tight enough for most of us, me anyway!

My CZ527 rifle in .223 will drop 3 rnds into 3/8" on a still day with its favored rounds @ 100 yards and has put several turkey on the table and accounted for some small game and varmints.

Best.
