How Long Are Your Fingers

The S&W 645 is by far the best of the ones I've tried, including H&K, CZ97 and S&W. But, then, I have long fingers and need a large grip and long trigger to grip distance. HTH

In my opinion, the best double action in .45 ACP is the SIG P220. Nothing else quite comes close to it in accuracy, ergonomics and shooting comfort. Your mileage may, of course, vary.
 
(OnePro) a double action 45 was imported by Magumn Research, has best double action pull bar none. Is accurate and steel. A bit heavy.
 
I guess the Glock can be lumped in with the double actions, so I'd nominate the Glock 21 in the polymer category.

For metal, I'd go with the Sig P220. The others are wanna-be's in comparison, in my opinion.

2) HK USP compact 45
3) Beretta Cougar
4) Glock 21
5) Ruger P97
