What's the best .45 (DA/SA) for the money?

Ruger P97 will not let you down. I traded mine in for a Glock and I'm starting to realize why Rugers customer service is rated so well.

Another vote for the P97. I've had P90s, 220s, S&Ws, USPs, and Glocks. Like P97 and USP best, the P97 is much cheaper. Can't go wrong w any of them.

Decent pistol a Ruger. if you want the best than get a SIG Sauer P220. While the Ruger 45s are a big improvement over their 9mm they've got a long way before they match the smooth and crisp DA/SA pulls of a SIG Sauer.

So many pistols, so little money.

I just purchased a FireStorm (Formerly known as Llama). It was $300 for a dual-tone (chrome and black) and it accpets the 1911 mags. Friends of mine that have had Llamas in the past have had no problems whatsoever.

Either Ruger P-90 or P-97 both are excellent, affordable, reliable and accurate.

The Ruger p97 has alot of nice features and is a bargain at a little over $350.
If it were my money, I would save a little longer and buy the P220. I ran across a slightly used older model (spur type hammer)last weekend at a gun show for $450 out the door. If I had the cash I could probably have taken it for $425, and maybe $400 (it was a slow weekend dealers complained, the BC computers were down :( )
That's not a big difference in price.

I have both the SIG 220 and HK 45c. Both are great.

Even my non-gun wife likes the 220 and shoots it with ease.

I already put my favorite bargain as a Sig220 for $550 and the best bargain at any price is the Ruger p97. Forgot to mention how sweet it was to shoot a Taurus 945. Almost like a Sig. Hey my wife loves Sigs and she doesn't shoot much.
