What's behind the riots in France?

There are lots of reasons why these riots are happening. In my opinion, a large portion of the youth of Europe are simply brats who revel in destruction. Some use Islam as an excuse, some use poverty as an excuse, and some are just plain anarchists who want to set stuff on fire. The French government's soft response has not helped the situation.

What, are you too PC to see the truth before your eyes? It's ISLAM! It's WORLD WAR IV! It's MUSLIMS! They're trying to take over the world! It's the so-called Religion of Peace! When will America wake up and realize what's going on?

If you have issues with the way this board is run, and which topics are subject to thread closure, you may take it up with either myself via PM/email, or the board's owner. You also have the freedom to cease participation here and seek out a less "politically correct" venue.

There are a handful of posters on this board who cannot resist either starting "Holy War" type threads (sometimes in the guise of "remedial current events questions"), or turning any discussion into one that's even remotely connected to any Muslim or group of Muslims. This will stop, as of right now, or the members in question might find that seeking out another board is no longer an option, but a necessity. I am sick and tired of reading the same frothing, spittle-spraying, chest-beating tirades over and over again. They do not add to the value of the board, they do not enhance the quality of our discussions, they do not further the mission of the board, they never offer any workable solutions, and they bore the living hell out of me.
