What's a good price for a S&W Model 19

Hi, this is a bit outdated, but just to add another data point I bought my NIB model 19 for $425 in 2007, with box and manual (which I didn't care about, but they came with it) in Indiana.

I'm the stupid idiot that put them through it...prior to that the gun had been unfired.

Stupid, stupid, stupid stupid....

Moral of this story is - before you sell a gun you no longer shoot - find out what the going price is for it before you open your (stupid, stupid, stupid) mouth...
Yes, Hal, yes, but it begs the question:
Do you have any regrets? :p

I bought a -2 snub 18-24 months ago for around $450, it's was in almost new condition...very little wear. It's my favorite, wouldn't sell it for 3 times that.

I just paid $425 for one in the original box with all papers and tools.

But the grips werent original, so I had to buy a set of original ones for $50 :(

On the other hand, the ones on there were original N frame grips which went perfectly on my Model 28, so I saved $100 there (N Frame grips are spendy)!

Now I need an N Frame box. Then a Model 10 box. then a Model 27, Model 18, K38, K22, K32...

I paid $280.00 for this M 19-3 in March of this year. I then spent almost that much on the stag grips and the T-grip. I over paid but I have what I wanted at the time, a great shooter/nightstand revolver.

You know, on another forum I'm on, a car forum, new users are commended for using the search function rather than starting a new thread. This forum literally prompts you not to bump an old thread.

Howdy

I paid $125 for this 19-3. Box, papers, tools, the whole shebang. Of course, that was in 1975. A dollar went a bit farther back then. Sorry, just couldn't resist.

$375-$475 price range is fair, more toward $400-$425. I have paid as little at $299 for one and as much at $499 for a pristine nickel 19-4.

Wild Alaska

Did not realize how old the thread was till I saw the wildalaska post. Anyone know where he went? Really enjoyed the posts.
